Increased efficiency thanks to heat recovery
The Nexya All-in-One is not only complete and simple to use, but also stands out for its maximum technological efficiency, reaching energy class A++ for cooling and A+ for DHW production. Furthermore, compared to traditional air conditioning and DHW production systems, which require separate management of the two cooling circuits, parallel operation enables the heat normally expelled by the outdoor unit during cooling to be recovered and used for DHW production in the storage tank. Depending on the heat output required by the storage tank and the number of indoor units active in providing climatic comfort, heat recovery can be total or partial.
Olimpia Splendid's range of air-to-air heat pumps is expanding with the addition of the Nexya All-in-One: a complete multi-split system that provides both air conditioning and domestic hot water. The system consists of an outdoor unit with a maximum cooling output of 8.6 kW and a maximum heating output of 8.9 kW, and can be combined with one or more wall-mounted indoor units (up to a maximum of three units with outputs of 9,000, 12,000 or 18,000 BTU/h) and a 190-litre DHW storage tank with an additional 2 kW electrical resistance. The system's extreme simplicity and flexibility make it the ideal solution for new builds and upgrades aimed at improving efficiency and reducing the use of fossil fuels for heating and hot water, which on average represent 80% of a home's energy needs (source: TEHA and Enel Foundation dossier, 2024).
Different control possibilities:
The Nexya All-in-One offers a simple control solution. As well as the traditional on-board remote control and display, the wall-mounted indoor units and storage tank are equipped with integrated Wi-Fi and can therefore be controlled remotely via the separate OS Comfort mobile app. The entire system is also set up to interface with third-party BMS systems for integrated home automation management.
Olimpia Splendid: energy retrofitting for the built environment
The new Nexya All-in-One air-to-air heat pump is just one of the solutions in the Olimpia Splendid catalogue dedicated to retrofitting buildings. In fact, Olimpia Splendid has been focusing its product development process on designing new heat pump retrofit models for some years now, as it recognises the transition of the built environment as one of the most important challenges for the HVAC world to implement the European Union's Green Deal.
